The Beale Enlisted Spouses Club has started two new online fundrasing campaigns to support their normal operating costs as well as increase their ability to support other Beale organizations and scholarship programs. ON BASE:
FREE Patriotic Pool Party
12:00 - 6:00pm. Games for families and Airmen at the Main Pool.
FREE Barbeque 11:00am - 2:00pm at the Main Base Pool. Burgers, Hotdogs, Soda or Water, and
Chips
“Star Spangled Strikes” 12:00 - 5:00pm at the Bowling Center; participants will have unlimited bowling for $5.00 per person (shoe rental is not included).
OFF BASE:
Yuba City Fire Department and Yuba City Parks & Recreation Department invite children (ages kindergarten through sixth grade) to join in the Annual Freedom Parade on Plumas Street beginning at 10 am on Saturday, July 4. Children are encouraged to decorate their trikes, bikes, hot wheels, skateboards or any other non-motorized vehicles with red, white and blue and join in the fun! Staging and check-in will begin at 9:30 at Plumas and A Streets. All riding participants must wear a helmet and parents are encouraged to accompany their children along the parade route. The parade route will be south on Plumas Street and around the Town Square Fountain. At the conclusion of the parade, refreshments will be provided (donations welcome), along with live music. Come join the fun!
Sacramento Independence Day Celebration
Cal Expo proudly joins the City and County of Sacramento to produce the largest-scale pyrotechnics display in the area’s history. The Independence Day Celebration is a family oriented collection of activities focused around our Nation’s birthday. In addition to the spectacular fireworks display, the Celebration also includes music and dancing in the Grandstand area.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m.
Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. General admission to the July 4th celebration is FREE. Parking is $10 per vehicle.
Rancho Cordova Independence Day Picnic/Parade/Fireworks
Celebrate Inpendence Day in a grand style with the 24th Annual Rancho Cordova 4th of July, 2-day event. Friday’s festivities begins with a parade down Coloma Road at 10 a.m. Throughout the day, there are plenty of kids activies from animalcentric areas, a carnival, arcade, train rides, magic show, hula hoop contest, potato sack race and a Guitar Hero competition. Hip Service will provide the night’s entertainment. On Saturday, the fund continues with two evening concerts highlighting the day with the Turtles at 6:30 p.m. and the Rascals at 8:30 p.m.
Sunrise Mall Fireworks Spectacular
Sunrise Mall will host a free Independence Day celebrations with live music, 3D fireworks show that will be simulcast on 98 Rock and a Shriners Kid’s Carnival. The carnival will begin July 2 and last until July 6, from noon to 9 p.m. Location: Sunrise Mall at Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane. Cost: Free. More Info: (916) 961-7150
The City of Roseville Fireworks
Each year, the community of Roseville comes together in Downtown to celebrate our country's Independence Day. Bring your family for an entire day of festivities
Join us at the Placer County Fairgrounds for free fireworks. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 9:30 p.m. Free parking in lots B and C.
Kid's Summer Movie Specials
Cinemark in Yuba City is offering their Summer Movie Clubhouse again this summer. With two weekly showings, special kids films are only a $1.00 per show or 10 shows for $5.00. All shows start at 10:00am.

Regal Entertainment Group Free Family Film Festival is Now Showing! When school’s out, kids around the country visit selected Regal theatres for the Free Family Film Festival. It’s a fun-filled nine weeks of movies for kids and parents. Since 1991, Regal has provided this service to the community, and best of all it’s FREE!
Selected G & PG movies start at 10AM each Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. First-come, first-served seating is limited to theatre capacity. The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer.
Tickets for our 2009 Free Family Film Festival are exclusively available at select theatres’ box office on the day of the show.
