President's Corner

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to inform you we are still looking for individuals that want to be a part of the board for the BESC. These are the positions:

  • Community Outreach/Scholarships: The job is for anything the club does for the community. i.e Breast cancer walk, Autism Awareness, dorm dwellers, and goodies for the dorms. Also once we have more money in the account we will be trying to give out scholarships. It can be a busy position but you can recruit help and it is very rewarding.
  • Both fundraising positions: This is a very important job but can be a lot of fun. It doesn't have to be the run of the mill fundraisers. Make it interesting as you want. We are well on our way to get some needed funds in but there is still more work to be done.
  • Publicity: I have personally taken on this position as well as President duties but if there is anyone that wants to handle this it would be great. A very creative job. The possibilities are endless.
  • Secretary: Kristina, our awesome secretary, is resigning from her position. She will hang on till September but cannot continue will all the projects that she has going on so she has to let at least one go. We have to have a Secretary so if there is anyone out there that can do this job please let me know. You will take minutes of the meetings, hold important documents and keep all correspondence for the BESC. Please let me know soon because Kristina is willing to help you get up to date.

Beale Enlisted Spouses Club

The Beale Enlisted Spouses Club (BESC) is a diverse group of spouses dedicated to serving the community and forming connections with other spouses here on Beale Air Force Base.  The members come from all walks and phases of life, representing a variety of skills, talents, abilities and interests.  We range from newlyweds to retirees, from new parents to empty nesters and everywhere in between.

BESC holds monthly general membership meetings and hosts social activities to provide its members with opportunities to build strong personal relationships.  Likewise we conduct regular charitable projects the promote community involvement and goodwill.

Whether you are new to Beale or are an old friend, we hope you will join us as we connect and support the Beale community and hopefully make it a nicer place to live for you, our families, and our airmen.

Membership

Membership in the Beale Enlisted Spouses Club is open to all spouses of enlisted active duty, reserve and guard members.  Associate membership is open to spouses of retired enlisted members, spouses of deceased enlisted members and married active duty members married to enlisted active duty members.

Membership dues are $10.00 per year for E-1 through E-5 and $20.00 per year for E-6 through E-9, retired and associate members.

Not sure if BESC is right for you?  Newcomers are welcome to attend one function as a non-dues paying participant to see what we are all about. 

Membership Application

General membership meetings are held monthly. Meetings are generally held the second Monday of the month at the Community Center. A social period is held from 6-6:30pm with the general membership meeting beginning at 6:30pm. Following the meeting is the monthly themed activity and more social time.
