Located in housing at 5202 West Nugget Court is the U Fix It Store.  Open to all base residents the facility has an inventory of items available for free, for a one for one trade, or to borrow.  Customers must show their military ID and sign in confirming that they reside in base housing.  The items available are to assist residents with the beautification, maintenance and improvement of the house they reside in.

Have a cracked switch plate cover?  Bring it in for a trade.  Most of the homes on Beale have some light fixtures requiring special bulbs which can be found at the U Fix It Store.  Did you know that for optimum performance the filters in your cooling/heating unit must be changed monthly?  Bring your used filter in and walk away with a 3 month supply, courtesy of the U Fix It Store.  Lets face it, the yards of the vacant houses look pretty "natural" but yours can be a beautiful addition to the neighborhood with a little help from the UFI Store and some sweat "equity".  They have fertilizer, grass seed, planting booklets, weed block fabric, tip soil, lawn bender board and much more.  If you are new to the base and without your household goods you can borrow tools for up to 3 days at a time to maintain your yard.  Pick up a US flag kit to add that special patriotic touch to your abode. 

The facility also has collection bins for old household batteries and small electronic devices that are not permitted in the trash.  They will ensure that they are properly disposed of.
