Featured Business: Petroglyph
Petroglyph was founded by a couple who wanted to create a space that was social, like a bar, but that focused on creative activities rather than eating or drinking. They hoped to create a location where people would gather with friends, a place centered around being constructive. Petroglyph, a contemporary ceramic studio, was their dream, where customers choose from the extensive selection of bisque pieces and paint to their hearts content. While Petroglyph is kid-friendly it is not kid oriented. Adults as well as children create masterpieces in the studio.
Their pricing is simple. They have a flat studio fee, adults $9.75, kids 12 and under $7.00, that covers all your painting supplies, tools, support and glazing by their trained staff, and kiln firing (you will have to return at a later date to pick up your fired item). Beyond that, you only pay for your selected piece. You are able to look around, choose your bisque, your supplies and maybe get some inspiration from finished pieces displayed in the shop.
